Brand Spotlight: Burwood Distillery
Burwood Distillery began as a vision to celebrate Alberta’s agriculture, handcrafting spirits from local ingredients while honouring distilling traditions honed by generations who came before. Based in Calgary, the distillery has grown into a destination that pairs classic old-world spirit styles with contemporary innovation.
The lineup spans aged whiskies, honey spirits, and rhums, core and seasonal gins, bottled cocktails and canned coolers, old-world liqueurs, vodka, and eau de vie, alongside a growing range of non-alcoholic options. Notable releases include “The Bee Whisperer” Alberta Whisky and Honey Spiced Rhum, both award winners on the international stage.
Beyond the bottle, Burwood operates an on-site restaurant and tasting room, offers gin-making classes, cask blending workshops, and distillery tours, and runs a Cask Club membership for its most devoted fans.
